Mini football championship amongst companies of Kyzylorda region

It has become a tradition to hold mini football championship amongst companies of Kyzylorda region on an annual basis, which usually timed to the professional holiday of Oilmen day.

LLP “KAZPETROL GROUP” team has been taking part in this event for few years already and last year we could distinguish ourselves and were successful to appear in semifinals of the championship, and won 4th place prize. Last year championship was organized by LLP “PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources” and was devoted to the memory of Salamatov Murat Gazizovich.

This year the championship was held on September 7-8 and was devoted to the 25th anniversary of LLP “KazGerMunai”. Traditional championship on mini football among companies of Kyzylorda region was hosted by the event causer LLP “KazGerMunai”. There were 16 teams that took part in the drawing. The judges decided to divide the winners of the previous tournaments, as Favorites, into four groups. As a result, the following groups have been formed:

• Group А: JSC "KazTransGas", "The Office of Kyzylorda region Akimat", JSC "KOR", LLP "Abay Daulet". 
• Group В: JSC Petro Kazakhstan Kumkol Resources, LLP “Aidan Munai LLP”, LLP “Kyzylkum” (KazAtomprom)
• Group С: LLP “Turgai Petroleum”, LLP “Bastau and K”, LLP “Baiken-U”(KazAtomprom), LLP “KAZPETROL GROUP”.
• Group D: LLP "JV Kazgermunai", LLP "KuatAmlonMunai", LLP "KumkolTransService", LLP "Abzal and K". 

The opening ceremony of the tournament took place on September 7, at 09:00 AM in the Sports Complex "Seyhun". The game started at 10:00 AM. Our first game was with the team of LLP "Baiken-U" (KazAtomprom). We won the game with the score 6:4. The game was tense and both teams had equal strength, but our team could manage to score two more goals at the end and won. The next game was with the team of LLP "Bastau and K". In this match our team took the control over the game from the very beginning and became the winner with a score of 7:11 in our favor! The third game began late, at 10:30 PM, with the team of LLP “Turgai Petroleum”. By this time all participants were already exhausted. Despite the fact that our opponent was strong, in the first half the game was equal. In the second half, the persistence of our team took up, and we practically dragged out the victory with a score of 6:3. So, we finished the selection round with such an excellent result – the first place from Group C.

The second day we played against the team of LLP "Aidan Munai". This team took the second place in Group B. During the match we could demonstrate real stamina and won the match with a score of 4:11, which allowed us to enter the semifinals. The opponent in the semifinal was the team of LLP “Abzal and K”. This was a defining match on who will pass to the finals. Our rivals were a strong enough team, but we did not give up either. So, the first half ended with a score of 2:2. In the second half, towards the end of the game, the opponents played better, perhaps they were more fortunate, anyway, they won with a score of 4:6. In fact, the game was equal and, in the opinion of the captain of our team, quite spectacular.

The last match for our team in this tournament, when we fought for the third place, was with the team of JSC “Petro Kazakhstan Kumkol Resources”. Rivals have previously been Favorites in many tournaments and competitions in the region for this sport; it's a well-trained and experienced team, so it's no surprise that they won the match with a score of 1:10. The victory was well deserved.

We asked Askar Mazhitov, the geologist engineer, the captain of our team to share his impressions: "Our guys were simply exhausted, the team players are all exclusively amateurs and we realized that we clearly do not have enough experience and skills. At the end of the tournament we were dog-tired and worn-out. The fact that we took the IV place in such a prestigious tournament is already a huge achievement for our starting team, and certainly this is an important contribution to the reputation and image of our young Company. As a captain and organizer of our team, I want to thank our guys for fighting and not giving up until the end. Taking this opportunity, I also want to acknowledge and thank the leadership of our Company for the trust. Especially I want to mention the Financial Director - Yezhan Tazabekov, for the support given to the team and for assistance in organizational issues. Thanks to the last two tournaments, in which we took the honorable IV place, we are already recognized by other companies, judges, and ordinary fans who come to watch football. It is very pleasant to spot and to be a witness that we are already being noticed and our opinion is being taken into consideration. I think this is already a huge achievement. After all, it is a well-known truth that triumphs do not come at once. Step by step we will move forward to victory and success, to take new heights, just like our Company does”.

We are very proud of you and we are sure that the greatest victories are still ahead of us.
