Meeting at Mazhilis
Kazpetrol Group Took Part in a Historic Meeting at the Mazhilis on Local Content Issues
On November 25, 2025 an important meeting was held in the building of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of Deputy Mr. Zhanbyrshin, with the participation of members of Parliament and representatives of government authorities. The meeting focused on issues of subsoil use and the development of local content in the oil and gas production industry.
This event became historic — for the first time within the walls of Parliament, not only major operators were invited separately, but also oil production organizations (OPOs), including representatives of the private sector. Previously, such discussions concerned exclusively the KMG group of companies and transnational operators.
At this introductory meeting, industry participants — Associations and OPOs — were able to directly convey their proposals, concerns, and initiatives to deputies and relevant government agencies. This was an important step toward building an open dialogue between the state and subsoil users.
Among the speakers were Mr. Karsybekov, Chairman of the Oil and Gas Division of Kusto Group, Mr. Tazabekov, General Director of Kazpetrol Group, as well as Mr. Boranbekov, President of the PetroMining Association.
As an active participant in the professional community, Kazpetrol Group regularly takes part in strategically important high-level meetings and dialogues. We are proud that our position has been heard and that our experience can be useful for the further development of the industry.
