Increasing the efficiency of oil field development, reducing emissions into the environment

As part of the implementation of the “Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation to Increase the Gas Resource Base in the Kyzylorda Region”, concluded between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Subsoil User Companies, as well as in order to increase the efficiency of oil field development with maximum use of associated petroleum gas, in order to achieve subsequent improvement of environmental aspects, in order to reduce emissions into the environment by transporting excess volumes of gas to facilities equipped with an associated petroleum gas processing system, Kazpetrol Group LLP entered into an agreement for the supply of a compressor station with a control station in a block-modular building for the South Kairkeldy field with the KERUI Petroleum Gas company.

General Director of KAZPETROL GROUP Erzhan Tazabekov and General Manager of the Kazakhstan division of KERUI Petroleum Gas Sun Fewing noted the importance of the signed document and expressed confidence that the joint implementation of projects in all sectors of the oil and gas industry will ensure the transfer of modern technologies into production, will help improve the efficiency of oil field development and reduce emissions into the environment.

This is a good example that Memorandums of Understanding between business and government do not remain on paper, but are being implemented for the benefit of society.
